Classification of Flanged Valves
Flanged forged steel valves can be classified into forged steel check valve, forged steel gate valve, forged steel ball valve, forged steel globe valve, self sealing gate valve, self sealing globe valve, self sealing check valve, forged steel needle valve, forged steel insulation valve, high pressure forged steel gate valve, forged steel corrugated pipe valve, etc.

Installation
1. Mounting position, height and direction must conform to design requirements.
2. The connection joint should be solid and tight.
3. Handle of manual valve mounted on insulation pipe must not be installed downward.
4. The flanged forged steel valve with transmission mechanism must be installed according to requirement of operating instruction.
5. Before installation, flanged valve has to be inspected. For the valve working under pressure (more than 1.0 MPa) or in the main pipe (with function of interception), it must pass intensity and airtightness tests.
6. Hand wheel, handle and transmission mechanism are not allowed for lifting things.
7. Dirt or sand is forbidden in valve cavity and on sealing surface.
8. Bolts at each joint should be tightened evenly.
9. Packing area must be compressed tightly to ensure packing sealing and disc flexible opening.
10. Please avoid arbitrary collision and squeezing when using flanged forged steel valve.
11. Check if the valve type, connection dimension and medium flow direction are consistent with valve requirement.
12. Please reserve some necessary space for driving valve.
13. Wiring of drive device must be according to circuit diagram.

Maintenance
1. The valve that is not to install temporarily should be stored in dry and ventilated room, side flange of the flanged valve must be sealed.
2. The valve for long-term storage should be checked regularly. The surface of the valve must be clear of dirt and coated with anti-rust oil.
3. The following conditions of flanged forged steel valve should be inspected regularly after installation:
a) Wear pattern of sealing surface
b) Wear pattern of rotary rocker
c) Dirt accumulation between the inner chamber of the valve body and sealing surface
4. Sealing performance test should be implemented after every time maintenance and assembly of the flanged forged steel valve.
5. The valves should be maintained regularly.
6. Collision should be avoided for hand wheel, handle and transmission mechanism.
7. Please open the bypass valve in advance before opening the valve to balance the pressure differential and to decrease opening force.
8. If the valve opens and closes frequently, please lubricate it regularly (at least one time every month).
9. Double disc and flanged valves should be installed vertically, that is, stem is positioned vertically and hand wheel is at the top.
10. Flanged forged steel valve with transmission mechanism should be installed according to product manual.
